This privacy policy ("Policy") describes how Apparence.io ("we", "us" or "our") collects, protects and uses the personal information you ("you", "your") may provide through the SoberBear mobile application (the "App"). Your sobriety journey is personal — we built SoberBear so that as little of your data as possible leaves your device.

1. Information we collect

Account information (optional). You can use SoberBear without creating an account. If you choose to sign in, we collect the email address (or third-party sign-in identifier) you provide, so your data can be backed up and restored.

Tracking data you enter. Your daily check-ins, streaks, cravings, mood, savings goals and onboarding answers (such as your previous drinking habits and motivations) are used to power the App's features. This data is never sold and never shared with other users.

Private photos (optional). If you enable the daily sober selfie, your photos are private to you. They are never published, never shared with other users, and are used only to show you your own progress inside the App.

Usage & diagnostics. We collect anonymous usage analytics and crash reports to understand how the App is used and to fix bugs.

2. Service providers

We rely on a small number of processors to operate the App:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication, storage, push notifications and remote configuration.
• RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management (we never see your payment details; payment is handled by Apple).
• Mixpanel — product analytics.
• Sentry — crash reporting.

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

3. How we use your information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the App: syncing and backing up your progress, processing subscriptions, sending the notifications you enable (such as the daily check-in reminder), and fixing bugs. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your sobriety data for advertising.

4. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the App. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from the App's settings, or by contacting us at support@apparence.io.

5. Security

We secure the data entrusted to us using industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration or destruction.

6. Children

SoberBear is not directed at children and is intended for users of legal drinking age in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR if you are in the European Union), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@apparence.io.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. If changes are significant, we will notify you in the App.
